Sarah Kurz

Sarah Kurz serves as vice president of public affairs for Rose Community Foundation, which advances inclusive, engaged and equitable Greater Denver communities through values-driven philanthropy. Through grantmaking, policy and advocacy, donor engagement and stewardship of philanthropic resources, the Foundation supports solutions to enduring challenges and emerging issues across a wide range of topic areas and populations. In her role, Kurz elevates the Foundation’s voice and visibility, amplifies thought leadership on policy issues, and directs grantmaking to support advocacy work. In addition, Kurz leads high-impact projects for the Foundation including philanthropic funds focused on serving immigrant and refugee communities. Kurz previously worked in private, nonprofit and government sectors, providing communications and policy expertise to advance civic issues. She currently serves as the vice-chair of the Colorado Media Project, a philanthropic initiative that pools support from local and national sources to support the state’s rapidly changing local news ecosystem.
